The Master Builders Association Excellence in Construction Award Ceremony was held on Saturday 5 July 2008. ABN Construction had an impressive result, winning two categories including one of the night's most prestgious awards.
Both awards were won for the construction of Dale Alcock Central, 1 Pearson Way, Osborne Park.
With a project construction value of $12.32 million and a timeframe of 78 weeks from concept to completion, ABN Construction designed and built the 'one-stop-shop' now known as Dale Alcock Central.
Containing the offices of Dale Alcock Homes and Dale Alcock Home Improvements, the building features a state of the art selection area, extensive use of segmented curtain wall glazing, purpose built staff cafe areas and a staff gymnasium. All this on a contemporary open plan layout. The building is also designed with the environment in mind. Extensive use of energy efficient design elements including glazing, insulation, floor, wall and ceiling finishes have been put in place to reduce reliance on appliances. Water saving devices are also inherent to help promote a green working environment. The Project commenced with demolition of the existing warehouse and structures. This was followed by the construction of the base building, office and showroom fit out.
