Supporting the Community in 2017

By the very nature of what we do, we’re part of the community. We build people’s homes, and the significance of that is never lost on us. Like managing director, Dale Alcock, the ABN Group is passionate about sharing its success with the community and giving back to those in need.

That’s why we established the Alcock Family Foundation.

Alcock Family Foundation

The Alcock Family Foundation has extended a helping hand in a variety of areas including medical research, relief work and the environment.

Since 2006, the ABN Group has donated more than $8.4 million to various worthy charities and causes. Why? Because they deserve it. Because ABN Group staff have always been community-minded. And when you live and work in a close-knit community, you naturally get involved in what's going on around you.

We partner with like-minded charities and organisations that we feel are the most deserving, and which we think will make the biggest impact on society. We also support distress and relief situations on an ad-hoc basis, at the discretion of the ABN Group Executive. And because we like to actively take part, and encourage our people to as well, we've also donated a similar sum in kind, through employee volunteering initiatives and construction projects. When you live and work in a close-knit community, you naturally get involved in what’s going on around you.

Our overheads are covered by the ABN Group which means that every single dollar goes towards charitable causes.
