On any given night, tens of thousands of people across Australia won’t have a safe and secure place to sleep.
Some people will be outside, sleeping rough and exposed to the elements, while others will be sleeping in cars, couch surfing or in temporary shelters. According to the 2022 Census, over 122,000 people are experiencing homelessness in Australia and countless more are at risk homelessness. As one of Australia’s largest home builders, we are acutely aware of the challenges people face in accessing solid housing, let along secure the dream of home ownership, which is why we hold the work of Vinnies and the CEO Sleepout so important.
ABN Group executives have participated in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout numerous times since 2014, including Managing Director Dale Alcock, CEO Andrew Roberts and Parcel General Manager Jeremy Cordina, raising hundreds of thousands to support homelessness services.
Raised between 2019 & 2024
June 2024 marked the sixth time Andrew Roberts participated in the Sleepout, raising over $62,000 with that support of the ABN Group team.
Andrew is currently raising funds for his seventh year, which will take place on Thursday 26 June 2025 at Optus Stadium.
