We are delighted and proud to announce that Dean O’Rourke, Executive General Manager for Residential WA, has been appointed to the Housing Industry Association’s (HIA) national board.
An experienced leader, Dean is deeply passionate about strengthening not only ABN Group, but the broader building industry – helping it grow, innovate and deliver even better outcomes for our customers.
For more than 20 years, Dean has been actively involved with HIA, serving in various capacities, including HIA WA President and various national chair roles over the years. Each role has been an opportunity to contribute to the future of our industry.
This appointment to the HIA National Board as a National Director is a leadership role focused on shaping the HIA’s national strategy, advocacy, and representation of Australia’s residential building sector.
The HIA National Board’s work centres on:
- Representing members’ interests to government, regulators and industry stakeholders to influence policies that foster a sustainable, competitive housing industry.
- Driving evidence-based policy and thought leadership to tackle key national housing challenges, such as supply, affordability, sustainability and workforce capacity.
- Championing initiatives that deliver real value to HIA members, from policy wins and industry resources to national events, while strengthening and growing membership.
We are thrilled to have such a dynamic leader fighting for our industry’s future, advocating for meaningful change and ensuring the whole housing sector remains strong, competitive and forward-looking.
