Today we celebrated Wear It Purple Day, a day about showing visible support and allyship for LGBTQIA+ people. It was incredibly wonderful to see the sea of purple filling our offices in WA and Victoria on the day.
We acknowledged the day with a learning session with staff from Perth, Bunbury and Melbourne. The session was hosted by two of our brilliant Unity Network members, with special guests joining to share their perspectives.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and stories and your insight on how we can support our colleagues/friends/family/customers who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. And thank you for everyone to your engagement and questions.
We also held morning teas with some delicious cupcakes and speeches, as well as distributed dozens and dozens of pride lanyards from WAAC and rainbow pins.
